In the field of quantum information, many advances have been made towards ensuring the security of given protocols, and the safest way to analyse such tasks is adopting a framework of device-independent approaches. In a bipartite scenario, for instance, one of the parties can obtain significant information about the other by analysing steering inequalities, whose violations allow Bob to infer relevant properties of the setting of Alice's lab. In this work, we show that it is possible for Bob to establish a lower bound to the number of measurements to which Alice has access in a steering scenario. We propose a set of conditions that can be checked with the aid of semi-definite programming, such that whenever one of such conditions is not observed Bob can conclude with certainty that Alice must have access to at least a certain number of measurements in her lab. As a result, even without trusting Alice, Bob can learn crucial information about what his colleague is doing in her lab.
