We will discuss the SYK model and the emergence of the Schwarzian effective action of the reparametrization modes that describe the model at strong coupling and low temperatures. These modes are responsible for the exponential growth in time of the 4-point function that is characterised by a maximal Lyapunov exponent. We will discuss the gravity dual of this model using two different approaches that reproduce the same answers.
