Electronic Correlations and Topology in Narrow Band Systems
The workshop will bring together experimentalists and theorists working on different aspects of moiré superlattice systems based on twisted graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides. The focus will be on addressing the new challenges that have emerged since the discovery of these systems, which incorporate fascinating concepts of topological and strongly correlated matter.
This conference will consist of a school on June 25 and 26, followed by the main workshop from June 29 to July 3.
TOPICS THAT WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE WORKSHOP
- Twisted bilayer graphene and its relatives (twisted double bilayer graphene, trilayer graphene, etc);
- Twisted transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers;
- Superconductivity in narrow band systems;
- Topological properties of moiré band structures;
- Correlated insulating phases in flat band systems;
- Phonons in moiré superlattices;
- Nematicity in twisted graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides.
