OVERVIEW 

The program will have a mixed school/workshop format, with the goal to create a community that can start research lines related to gravitational wave physics, keeping in touch with the broader and more experience community outside Brazil.

The school topics will cover the basic of the gravitational wave physics and detection, paving the way for understanding the recent observational results and for discussing the impact of the gravitational wave detection in cosmology. Another goal of the program is to have mini-courses and a round-table discussion about gravitational wave detector design, aiming at arising the interest of researchers to join the experimental effort of gravitational wave detection and igniting the discussion about a future detector to be built in Latin America.

REGISTRATION FEE

The policy of the International Institute of Physics with respect to organization of events demands collecting a registration fee from the participants. Members of the local community (institutions in Natal) are considered as free listeners and are exempt from paying the fee.

Students = R$ 400 Brazilian reais

Postdocs/Professionals = R$ 800 Brazilian reais
